Attack On Christmas

StatsCan tries to cancel Xmas
StatsCan effort to scuttle Christmas meets derision
"Negotiating what seems like a minefield of gaffes and awkward situations can feel like quite a challenge, but it doesn't have to be that way," wrote an employment equity office worker in a newsletter e-mailed to thousands.
In what reads like a parody, he suggests replacing the jolly old elf with a magician or clown at kids' parties, being conscious that alcohol may offend and decking the halls with "sensitive" decorations.

Okay. It is now official. Bureaucrats are assholes. As if we didn't already know that.
So would somebody please tell me just why the hell everybody and his/her/its dog can celebrate THEIR religion and its observances, but Christians can't? Are we really that big a threat? A religion that embraces justice, equal rights, charity, and a Saviour, (Messiah etc.) that was actually willing to die for us?
In the eye of socialists and other religions, I guess we are. Name me one, just ONE, other religion, where their "Supreme Being" was willing to sacrifice all, and die for His followers? Islam follows a pedohile, rapist, and murderer, and not ONE of their so called religious leaders has died by blowing himself up. The closest one I can think of are the Jews, who are willing and do stand up for themselves.
We celebrate the birth of Christ every year. So why is it wrong for me to do so, and not for those that celebrate Ramadan, or the Druids who celebrate the spring solstice?
Funny. This says it best...A culture of outrage is being created in the name of sensitivity, Bulka argued. "People are getting too easily offended. It's a stupid way of living."
What's truly inclusive is to rejoice with others as they celebrate their faith tradition, whatever it is, Bulka said.

Guess what. The above was said by a Rabbi. Do I find it offensive? Not on your life. But you can bet your last penny that the Islamofacists will. Why? Because they follow a religion of domination. It IS NOT a religion of Peace. You will submit, or you will be killed. Are they so afraid that their religion is crap that the only way they can get followers is through indimitation and murder? You bet.
Of course, we then have one of the asshats trying to defend the email..."The intention was a very good intention to start with -- it turned out to be a bit of controversy," director of communications Francois Borde said. "It's not the intention of anyone to ban anyone's festivities. We hope everyone can enjoy this period when everyone needs a break -- whether they're Jews or Muslims or Christians."
Oh??? So why replace Santa Clause and the decorations?
I will leave you with this thought
John Counsell, director of outreach at Bethel Pentecostal Church, said he's never heard a devout Muslim or Jew complain about Christmas.
"It's not people from those groups who are promoting it," he said. "It's an atheist faction that has a disproportionate influence on our government and the media. This kind of nonsense comes from people who are anti-Christian."
To Leslie Pal, who teaches public administration and policy at Carleton University, it's more about a "professionally sensitive" bureaucracy run amok.
"Sometimes those equity offices, with the best of intentions, act as if people in the workplace are either children or maniacally sensitive about everything," he said. "Most people are a lot more reasoned and mature than that."

I vehementally disagree with his "with the best of intentions" comment, but the rest is bang on. It is time to bring Christmas back. Remember, most people are a lot more reasoned and mature than that, except for the socialists, who are just tall school-yard bullies, and it is time we started putting the bullies in their place, and teach them how to live and survive in the real world.

Per Ardua Ad Astra MERRY CHRISTMAS

I agree, Justthinkin. There is no "best intentions" about it. It is a deliberate attempt to do away with all things Christian. Anyone who doesn't understand that has his/her head stuck in a dark hole, if you get my drift.
