From what I've been seeing, hearing, and reading, from REAL women, the only women happy with this little socialist pamphlet are the silverspoon elitist socialists like Judy "see me eat piza and strip" Seeeeegrrrrrowww, BS, and of course various parasites living off the tax-payer dollar. Maybe it had something to do with the "barefoot & pregnant" comment, or the more demeaning statement that "women who advance on their own abilities, smarts, and perseverance are hurting the women's equality movement" Huh?? But anyway, that's another days subject.

Sounds nice, this little snippet from the Useless Charter. but then they say this...Priority will be given to projects addressing issues pertaining to the following:

Ahhhhhhh. So if you are a normal, white, 20-64 year old women trying to start a business that will employ females, forget it. When a group states the above, you know where your request will be in the pile. And lets not forget that according to BS, women who try to advance themselves without getting help from SOW are against equality for women. Go figure. But then, any woman displaying initiative is DEFINITELY against the "cradle-to-grave" welfare state these socialist Lieberals are trying to get.
The biggest problem with SOW is they are in fact nothing more than a money distribution scam. This can be done better, and far more cost effectively, by gicing the money DIRECTLY to groups who actually go out and help women, like shelters for abused women. Personally I can't think of a more appropriate acronym for this bureaucratic group of useless twits then SOW. Fits their pig-like trough feeding perfectly.

It should really come as no surprise to anybody that Auditor General Sheila Fraser has found more rampant government waste and theft of taxpayer's money. Although all the fiures are not out yet, there is at least $508 Million that was either stolen, mismanged, or misappropriated.

This rate is paid for participation in prison programs, working in the laundry department, and in certain workshops, including metal, wood and textile. "An enormous adjustment is required," Sapers said, noting increasing prisoners' wages would help them develop a sense of responsibility and improve their chances of reintegrating into society.
So just how is this supposed to work? These guys/gals have a zero sense of responsibility to start with, and that can be improved by giving them more bucks? You know, I thought Sapers was a pretty level-headed guy, bit it appears his true socialist colours of throwing more bucks at a problem are coming through. Federal inmates get three free meals a day as well as essential items, such as soap. But they have to pay out of their own pockets for additional treats, like cigarettes, booze and chocolate.
Okay. Since when the hell is BOOZE legal in our federal jails? And chocolate. And smokes. No wonder they call these places "Club Fed"!! And lets not forget the FREE university/college education if they want it. Free to them, but not us poor taxpayers. Maybe more of the students in secondary education programs should seriously consider getting a jail sentence of 2 years plus a day. Then us taxpayers can fully pay for their degrees. And just think. No post-college debt for them! Oh. And don't the Feds have a no smoking campaign on the go?
Correctional Service Canada is studying the possibility of increasing prisoner compensation, as well as indexing it to the rate of inflation.
Say what? Prisoners may be getting a COLA clause in their contracts, but 99% of working Canucks don't have this? Just what kind of screwed-up banana republic have we become?

Well. She got the call about human rights violations right, but, as per usual with the left, she got the territory wrong. I guess Israelis don't have rights, only terrorists. It is a proven fact that Palestinian's frequently and willing use themselves as human shields for Hamas and Hezbollah, just so that they can dupe the lefties into screaming about violations of their rights and mass murder. And lefties like Arbour buy into it. Look, it is a proven fact that the left is anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, pro-Islam and anti-nationalist, whatever the nationality might be. And let us not forget the next step from that pryamid scheme called socialism (the left) is communism.
But back to Arbour and her stupid comment. So according to her it is alright for the Palestians to bomb innocent Israeli civilians, but not for Israel to defend herself. Well of course it is. So what about the hundreds of rockets that rained down on Israel from Lebanon, fired off by Hezbollah? Guess they didn't "kill" or "murder" any Israeli's! The lib-left media uses words such as "some civilians died in the latest bombing by Hezbollah, in such Israeli city." On the same breath, they will say '...showing excessive force, Israel has KILLED forty innocent civilians in the latest raid of such city in Lebanon (it later turned out to be only four dead)"
The fact that Israel has gone way out of its way to warn innocent civilians in Lebanon,of impending attacks, so they could find a safe place to be (and the terrorists with them), has "escaped" most of the lib-left reporters, if not all.
By the same token, the undeniable fact that Hezbollahs' coward terrorists have been hiding amongst civilians, while deliberately targeting innocent Israelis, with their rockets, has also escaped the lib-left reporters as well as the likes of Louise Arbour.
But what do facts have to do with reporting, right?

For you people living under a rock, Justice Minister Vic Toews' plan is to revamp the group that recommends judges to allow police officers a say in the process. I agree, seeing as cops are on the front lines and see first hand the results of our present "hug-a-thug" judges and their ridiculous sentencings. Now here is where I get confused by the socialists.
"It's part of a bigger picture where this government seems to have a strong underlying distrust of the (current) judiciary," says Ed Ratushny, a University of Ottawa law professor.
"I can't imagine what objective they could have in mind, other than to look for lawyers who will be hard-assed, law-and-order judges."
Excuse me, Ed, but anybody except a bleeding heart leftie DOES have a strong distrust of our current crop of so-called judges. Four kids murder another one because he kicked them out of his house party, and the worse one got was 4 years, and the other 3 house arrest, in their basements with Mommy. A modern day Marquis DeSade husband/wife team beat, torture,rape, and mentally abuse young girls for years, and they get SUSPENDED sentences! And excuse be, but aren't judges SUPPOSED to be hard-assed, law-and-order judges!

UN committee votes to discourage condemning countries on human rights
A UN General Assembly committee has voted to discourage UN human rights bodies from condemning any country on human rights, despite objections to the measure from the United States and many European countries.
The draft resolution - sponsored by Belarus and Uzbekistan, both of which have been accused of serious human rights abuses - was approved by the assembly's human rights committee on a 77-63 vote, with 26 abstentions. It now goes to the full 192-member General Assembly for a final vote.
Well there you have it. The true colours of the Useless Nations is finely showing through. They are NOT an organization concerned about human rights, but rather a leftie/socialist/markist/dictator country club. Of the current 192 member states, a quick review shows that 150 of them are either African tribal countries, dictatorial countries, communist, socialist, markist, facist, shiekdoms, or a combination thereof. The new Human Rights Council in Geneva, which earlier this year replaced the discredited Human Rights Commission, has met three times to pass resolutions condemning Israel but hasn't dealt with human rights in Myanmar, North Korea or Sudan.

It also states that "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice." Unless of course you are any ordinary citizen wanting to hunt duck, or protect yourself from some thug.

This scares the hell out of me: the poll "found that half of Canadians had a positive impression of Islam — a 4 percentage point increase from 2003 — despite post-9/11 backlash and the June arrests of members of an alleged terrorist cell in Toronto. One in three said Muslims were "rarely" portrayed fairly in the media." Lord thunderin Jesus. Have the Islamofacists succeeded that well with their and the MSM's brainwashing here in Canuckistan? Muslims were "rarely portrayed fairly in the media??? Are these goons stupid, deaf, dumb, and blind? Or a combination of all? Guess what, you little dhimis. Let The Snow Job Begin

Well, after constant nagging, I've decided to return. I have no idea what to start with. ABF seems to have the Global warming scam covered pretty good. Gayle has the you-all side covered. And everybody else covers everything else. Sigh.
Guess I'll just do a quikie on the Edmonton city snow-job. Yesterday morning the snow started falling in earnest, and by noon the heavy snowfall warnings were out. Yet the head turd for clearing our streets ( now there's an oxymoron in Edmonton in the winter) said they weren't going to get anybody out in large numbers until it had "accumulated a bit"! So at 6:00 PM, after 2 inches of wet snow had fallen, they decided to send out the word. Needless to say, the fight had already been lost.
At 5:30 this morning I was on the Whitemud, happily(?) scooting to work. You just know the road is crap when the semis are doing 50 KMH!!. And the intersections? The Oiler's can only dream they had ice that good at Rexall Place! The only blessing was that 91st Street southbound was still snow-covered, so traction was to be had.
Of course at 7 the excuses started from the city. The one I got the biggest kcik out of was that when they called for the contracted graders, only about 53 showed up, instead of the regular 90+. It was blamed on the fact that due to the booming economy, they had found better paying gigs. So now instead of the main drags being plowed and hopefully upgraded to fair winter conditions within 48 hours, it will take 96. Maybe all those contractors got jobs on city council, what with the nice 13% pay raise they are getting, not counting the added new perks also!

So how come Winnipeg, with only 200 less kilometers of roadways, lanes and sidewalks then us, lower property taxes then us, and a smaller population then us, can have ALL their streets and sidewalks cleared within 72 hours of a major snowfall, and we can't even get our side streets done, UNLESS there is at least 10 inches of snowpack, and then only if there is a danger that emergency crews can't respond??? And remember, in the "Peg, a major snowfall is at least a foot in 24 hours. Something stinks in Edmonchuck when it comes to snow removal.
